Bushwick Orthodontic Studio, located off the Dekalb L train stop in Bushwick, Brooklyn, is an orthodontic practice whose design mirrors the vibrant and playful nature of its namesake neighborhood. Big Fancy! Studio worked with the client to craft this inviting space that takes cues from the original 1930’s architecture and is filled with personal touches. Everything from the finishes to the accessories tell a story about the studio location and founders.

Brightly colored arches throughout the space are reimagined classic design elements referencing the architecture of the existing building. Upon arrival, patients take a seat in a waiting lounge that feels more like a living room than a traditional waiting room. Great care was taken in the design process to make this studio a hospitality experience rather than a medical clinic, to be playful, but not childish and to feel bright and clean, but not sterile.
